[+] Dissemination of job offers

We post job offers from employers in Laval and the surrounding regions in our offices. This is a free service. Job offer binders, in which we put all offers we receive, are updated daily. We follow up all job offers to make sure they are still valid and the positions still vacant. If you wish to post a job offer, you can send it by email to accueil@cjelaval.qc.ca, or call us at (450) 967‑1061. If you need a form to help you organize the information on the vacant position, click here.

[+] Volunteering (mentors)

Is the social and occupational integration of a new immigrant on your mind? Would you like to contribute to the success of a young entrepreneur and his or her enterprise? If you answered yes to either of these questions then becoming a mentor could be an interesting option for you. Voluntarily sharing ones knowledge of Quebec society and its business milieu is an enriching experience that can make a real difference in the lives of young up and comers. Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Laval has two mentoring programs: the Québec pluriel project and a business mentoring program. Québec pluriel is a mentoring program for new immigrants in which the mentor coaches the immigrant during his or her integration into the Quebec culture and the job market. Business mentors coach young entrepreneurs registered with the entrepreneurship service.

[+] Partnerships

Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Laval is an organization that listens to youth and other members of our community. Our mission, designed to improve the employment potential of Laval youth between the ages of 16 and 35, could not be fulfilled without the support of our partners. Whether they be partners in our mission, in youth intervention or in job training, or simply a financial partner, their concerted efforts enable us to offer a wide range of services that meet the needs of today’s young people. The expertise of the businesses, organizations, educational institutions and citizens of the Laval region gives us the capacity to offer a new means for efficiently guiding youth on the road to success. [+] Mini job fairs

Carrefour jeunesse-emploi de Laval periodically organizes mini job fairs in its offices. These events give young job seekers the opportunity to meet employers and find jobs. If you have a position to fill in your enterprise and would like to participate in one of our mini job fairs, we invite you to contact us to learn when the next job fair will be held. You can also regularly visit our Web site and consult the “News in brief” section on the home page.

[+] Interview simulations

Always with an eye to promoting the social and occupational integration of Laval youth aged between 16 and 35 years of age, we occasionally subject young people to simulated employment interviews. To do this, we call upon human resources experts, who comment upon different aspects of the interview. If you would like to play a role and contribute to the success of youth in the context of these interviews, click here.

[+] Internships

Why not add a touch of vitality and youth to your team for a week or two by recruiting one of our interns. Within the framework of Jeunes en action, participants are required to work as an intern in order to further explore their chosen profession. Our interns are ideal if you have a particularly demanding contract pending and could use an extra pair of hands, or if you need to replace an employee who is on vacation. Internships are also a great way to share your passion for your work with a younger person. You might give a young person a real boost that enables him or her to get back into the saddle!

[+] Défi de l'entrepreneuriat jeunesse (Financed by the Secrétariat à la Jeunesse)

Défi de l’entrepreneuriat jeunesse and its network of awareness promotion officers are part of a strategy to promote a real entrepreneurship culture among today’s youth. CJEL’s youth entrepreneurship promotion officers are responsible for the promotion, development and support of youth entrepreneurship initiatives within organizations, educational institutions and the community. The activities and workshops held at schools and organizations spark in participants their desire to embrace self-fulfillment and action. The Défi and the network of awareness promotion officers are designed to boost the development of Quebec’s entrepreneurial culture within the framework of the Défi de l’entrepreneuriat of the Stratégie d’action jeunesse 2009-2014.
